Thanks folks, I had a lovely day.
Nick had booked a table at Whitworth Hall for a meal, and about a couple of hours before the appointed time we had a phone-call from the hotel receptionist, advising us that only one of the approach roads was open, because of the snow. We duly went that way, and had a really lovely meal. Once home again, that was it - we stayed cosy for the rest of the evening!
My older son called in with two much-wanted CD`s for me, and my younger son phoned from York. Jacob & Ethan both wanted to sing Happy Birthday, but wouldn`t sing together, & both wanted to go first! Simon eventually sorted them out.
My dad, & my sister & family all came round for a drink later in the evening, so it was a really nice day.
